“ Came here on a Friday night without a reservation at peak dinner time which was 7 and told I had to wait 45 minutes to be seated, I should have planned better but I am not from the area and my friend said it was good so I waited. Hibachi is served here and they have the seating area where you can watch them cook your hibachi but they don't seat their guests there. They also have a robot bring out food which is pretty fun to see. I got the spicy sushi combo and it came with miso soup and a side salad when the sushi was brought out I was surprised by the portion size I thought I ordered two servings by accident and had to ask the waitress if I made a mistake and she said no it was one order. The sushi was good and the combo can feed two very hungry adults! ”

“ My friend and I tried Sumo Japanese Restaurant. It's not near the water and it's in a strip mall. The reviews were pretty good, the menu was reasonable, and it wasn't too far from our hotel. Though they do have four hibachi tables, I was informed that their air conditioning can't keep up with them and the heat, so they're currently unavailable. We were fine with that. The interior was nice, bright, and clean. For our meals, we all went with their hibachi combination offerings. Their hibachi meals are all served with a green salad, miso and mushroom soup, mixed hibachi vegetables, noodles, and steamed rice. You can upgrade to fried rice for $3. One ordered the Steak and Shrimp with the upgrade to fried rice. Two of us ordered the Filet and Lobster tail. However, we did not get rice or noodles and they offered us extra hibachi vegetables, so we gladly accepted. The food was brought to our table by a robot. The server removed our dishes from the robot's shelves, but that was fun to see it maneuvering around the restaurant. The prices at Sumo were surprisingly reasonable. Much cheaper than we're used to in the Spokane area. If you ever find yourself in Moses Lake and looking for a tasty dinner, definitely give this place a try! ”

“ Such a fun place! They are doing hibachi again if you make reservations ahead of time. We were able to get a 7 PM reservation and had Chef Alex. I had the scallop and shrimp combo and my mom had the chicken and filet combo. Alex was engaging and made some of the best fried rice I have ever had. He sprayed sake shots in our mouths and played with fire more than once. He even caught an egg in his hat and it didn't break! Would definitely recommend for anyone who wants dinner and some fun! ”

“ Surprised the reviews are so low, I enjoyed my visit. They have steaks, chicken, and seafood if raw fish isn't your thing. I'd consider it fairly above average, but I am spoiled with amazing sushi spots closer to Seattle and the fresh fish from Pike Place. Service wasn't crazy though, the staff are kind but they don't tend to check up on you. As we finished, we waited a good amount before staff came so we could ask for the bill and some boxes. I am interested in trying the other options, but I feel like it's wrong if I don't order sushi here. Might have to try both instead. The presentation of the sushi rolls was also spot on as they seem very aesthetic and laid out well. Not much else to comment on. ”
